On Saturday, I stayed at home. All my siblings were out somewhere, and I am left with household chores plus baby sitting to the kiddos. It's fun though, having enough time to bond with niece and nephews, 3x disaster at home.
On Sunday, my cousins came over. We've never seen them on holidays, so they decided to spend a Sunday with us. My preggy cousin is not really huge for a 6-month pregnant woman. We grilled fish, and nanay cooked tinola for lunch. It's a happy lunch for everyone. We prepared banana split for snacks. The ladies got toe nails done. It just happened that our cousin, Joseph, also arrived. Mini reunion with cousins, it is.
And how can I forget. We have this extra rest day because of Chinese New Year. I really wonder why we celebrate CNY here in the Philippines. Do chinese celebrate our New Year in their country? Anyway, no problem with that. I-just-wonder. Besides, the Chinese community here is getting bigger, I think. Big companies are mostly Chinese-owned, great investments, job opportunities to every Filipino. And I have Chinese friends, too! Well, Kung Hei Fat Choi to everyone.
I thank every Chinese for giving us one more extra day to spend with family and friends, one day to rest and relax, one day to skip from work, and one more day to celebrate how happy it is to live.
Family. Friends. Why I Love Weekends.
