Week 12: Welcome Summer with a Rainy Weekend

I usually hate the rain; especially if I am outside or I need to go out to arrange some errands. I hate rainy weekend, because it limits me to stay at home and stare on the kiddos' naughty faces. But this weekend is a different one. This is one of the unusual rainy weekends that I truly love.

Why? Because this is the perfect weather to rest. I have no plans of going outside. I want to make this weekend a full-time relaxation for me. And it's just so awesome that the sky is very cooperative. I can sleep in any part of the house since it's not too hot. I don't even need to turn on the fan. A plain blanket is just perfect to keep my body warm. Seriously, I didn't do any productive thing on Saturday and Sunday. I just plunge myself to my airbed and BOOM! Airbed+ Cold weather, whatta perfect combo.

But this weather is just so alarming. Summer is coming yet it rains at any part of the day. I want to spend the holy week at the province with a "summer" feeling. I just hope to have a perfect summer weather on the first week of April. C'mon I can't wait to put my shades on!

Week 11: Draw Something!

This new app is driving me crazy. I am really entertained with my friends' illustrations. Wi-fi is installed at home now, so I have the pleasure to go online anytime I want and play the game. It brings back my childhood. You know, I am not really good in drawing and seriously it is one my frustrations in life. I once dreamed of being an engineer, but since my drawing/drafting skills are very poor, I have to forget about it.

It's really fun to share your abstract drawing with friends and discover that they don't have the talent too!

Week 10: I won't give up

My desire to have a healthy life continues. On Saturday, I visited the dermatologist that my allergologist referred to me. I supposed to have a skin biopsy to check the nodules that are coming out of my skin, but the derma told me straight that it is Prurigo Nodularis. From the sound of his voice, I know he's really sure of his diagnosis. According to him, there's no definite cause of the disease, and there is no way I can get rid of it. Sounds hopeless. However, he told me that we can prevent the nodules from coming out. So, he prescribed a clobetasol propionate to me, to be applied to the affected areas for two weeks. It feels like I am doing it all over again. Whenever I am having a consultation to a new specialist, I am feeling very hopeful in the beginning but in the end it will not give me any satisfying results. Anyway, this time I'll be more mindful of my meds and diet. Oh, I can't believe it's been five years now. But I won't give up.

Week 9: Healthy-living

This week, I decided to come up with a healthy routine. Since my cousin is coming over every weekend, we agreed to have morning jog every Sunday. 30-60 minutes of jogging is fine, I think. I don't know how much of my fats are being burned, but I really like the idea that I am spending a little part of my day for exercise. If you would read my blog entry (On being health conscious) in Wordpress, you will understand why I am so into healthy living.

Here's a photo taken during our jog:
